Before thinking of taking up a real estate franchise, we should ask ourselves a more important question. If I am a consumer of real estate brokerage service what do I want that will make my experience a very satisfactory one. Very likely a satisfied consumer
will envision the following attributes as desirable:
* The agent who provided the service should be knowledgeable and well informed
about the product
* The transaction should be handled in a transparent manner and the transaction fee should not be very high.
* Both the buyer & seller should be completely informed of transaction
details, with no unique surprises.
* Proper documentation should be provided to both the buyer and seller.
As we know, in India one very rarely gets to experience all of the above in a
real estate transaction. Most likely, both the buyer & seller feels cheated
and the likely culprit is the ‘Real Estate Broker or Agent’.
To avoid this and make the real estate brokerage industry a profession, what
is needed to be done?
* Provide extensive training to real estate service providers.
* Create a transparent Buyer-Seller agreement
* Prepare a transaction oriented process chart and explain it in
detail to both buyers and sellers
In India, real estate industry is maturing to a more professional level
where urban consumers who has conducted transactions abroad are expecting
similar level of service here. The good news is that many firms are beginning to
provide enhanced services instead of being just order takers.

By aditya (not verified) | May 01, 2010real estate needs more transparency as i feel this is one subject which interests me a lot but when sitting in dubai i want to look for any properties i feel sorry because their is no pertinent information available fully most of the times you end up seeing real estate projects from big brands as you think the brand value will not cheat you on transparency but than seeing the construction and all the hidden costs involved and price escalations i believe a common man needs your services so keep up the good wok gentleman.
