Women, with the 10th year of the millennium 2000, are synonymous of power, grace and independence. This can be rightly called as the women’s era, seeing the remarkable progress of the fairer sex in the field of entrepreneurship. Till a few years back any woman venturing into the business arena was looked upon as an alien and was always believed that it was a man’s prerogative to earn money. But with time, women have made a successful transition from home-makers to business entrepreneurs.
Franchising is an arena that requires special mention in this regard. Franchising is considered one of the best options for women to make their presence felt by being entrepreneurs. Moreover, it offers more chances of becoming successful as compared to any other independently-owned business. Also, the support and training of the franchisors are an added advantage of franchising which make it easy for women to venture into. Another benefit is that women get ample time to manage both their families and business.
Franchising has given many women entrepreneurs the platform to showcase their business capabilities and become the role model for their counterparts. Shahnaz Husain, Lina Asher (KKEL), Sudha Gupta (Mother’s Pride), Vandana Luthra (VLCC), Sapna Gupta(AHA), Dr Shobha Kaul (Personal Point) are just a few to name in the ever-increasing list of women franchisors. Continuing at this pace, women franchisors in India are bound to become the world’s best franchisors.

Women Power
By Jagdish Bagri (not verified) | March 10, 2010Play Schooling is also developed keeping in view the entreprenual devlopment of women. At Vaibhavi Foundation we believe that women understand a child better. with this in mind, we have developed a franchisee programme which can be fully handled by women alone. Infact we have suceeded in keeping the entire operation fully female oriented. Though very new and humble in the field, it is our endevour to first interview the franchisee and understand if she has a passion for indepnedent business handling. We belive in long term partnership and wish educated females to sahre our opinion so as to develop a very unique playschool programm where the franchisee is more important than the amount of money she can invest.
